Meet Our Camp Leaders

Introducing some of dedicated zMotion riders that have a passion for the team, the sport of cycling, and the various charities we represent. These individuals manage training camps during the training season (October through May) to educate new riders, improve skills for advanced riders and get all riders ready and fit for the big event, the Zimmerman MS Bike Ride, from Miami to Key Largo, which is the last event of each year's official training season.

After you've joined the team, you can view any of the Camp Leader pages by clicking their link below. Camp pages have up-to-date information about rides, links to route maps, images, blog posts, facebook pages and much more. You can join any one of the training camps by clicking the Contact Us link on each Camp Leader's page.

Boynton Beach - Saturdays and Sundays at 6:30am and Tuesdays 5:15pm

Welcome to Camp Boynton RPM! We ride out of Boynton Beach and are looking to recruit riders from the surrounding area that share the same biking zeal! We are a group of committed bicycle enthusiasts that love to ride hard and ride fast for awesome exercise, workouts and fun! We work together as a team and cycle our draft so that each rider can challenge himself and bring their bodies to the brink of destruction! We aim to average a minimum of 20 mph for the ride duration no matter the mileage. This group is not for beginners. Speeds will vary from 19-25+ at intervals with 20 mph being our recovery zone. Our goal is to hammer hard every mile to improve our speed and endurance for the best workouts ever. Rides will vary in mileage and direction. (Minimum distance on Tuesdays will be 25 miles and weekend rides will be 30 miles and up). We will ride north or south along A1A and on some days link up with other groups. Meeting location is at the Boynton Beach Police Department South Lot, 100 NE 1st Street (Outdoor Parking Lot) between NE 1st Avenue and Ocean Avenue. Come join us as we train together for the upcoming charity rides this year - Tour de Cure, MS 150 and Livelong Livestrong!

Ft. Lauderdale - Saturdays 8:00am

When I first started riding three years ago, I wished there was a beginner ride to help me learn how to cycle and prepare for the MS ride – I really wanted to be a part of it but all the camps were riding too far and too fast. So I started a camp to help beginners learn and feel comfortable riding, going long distances, and riding in a group. This camp is different because we don’t leave anyone behind. If needed, we break into two groups so someone is always with the slower riders. We also regroup with coffee and a snack in the middle of a long ride or after a shorter one. We Make Riding a Habit! Come join us to learn the basics, get comfortable riding on the road, in a group, and for 20-40 miles at a time. These are great beginner rides with no one left behind! Meeting location is at Downtown Bicycles, 2571 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304-3203. The store is next to Starbucks and across from Galleria Mall. We ride south A1A over the 17th Street Causeway and back. Then head north A1A up to Commercial or Hillsboro Blvd. depending on mileage.

WESTON- Sundays at 8:30am

Previously known as Camp Kissell, this team is usually referred to as "The Most Good Looking" 5 years running. Along with Camp Latte, this is one of the founding zMotion rides and promises to be a safe and fun experience for both beginner and intermediate riders alike. The Steve's start at Weston Regional Park (20200 Saddle Club Road) in Weston and ride safely within the Weston area, taking advantage of wide bike paths and bike conscious motorists. For those of you nervous about riding on the road along side traffic, this is a great opportunity as Weston is generally very "biker friendly." There are usually two groups riding weekly, either 15-18 mph for 20-30 miles (or) 19-23 mph for 30-50 miles.
